Adoption Policy and Information:

Before applying, review the page about appropriate CAGES (click here) It is very important to us that your guinea pig has a proper size cage!
We do NOT SHIP guinea pigs. You must be able to come to us for the adoption.
We do NOT ADOPT to minors. Heads-of-household only can apply to adopt. Please do not apply to adopt if you are a minor living with your parents.
We do NOT ADOPT to people who have other pets living outdoors (with the exception of horses and other farm animals).

Adoption Fees and Information

$45 per neutered male guinea pig
$60 per spayed female guinea pig
Unlike some other rescue groups, all of our guinea pigs are spayed/neutered and have been to a vet for a checkup prior to adoption. While the adoption fee helps to cover some of the vet costs, our expenses far exceed the adoption fees. Click Here to see why we feel that spaying/neutering our guinea pigs is so important. Not only does it control the guinea pig population, there are definite health benefits.
A contract must be signed at adoption time

Notice about adopting female guinea pigs: There is currently a higher demand for spayed, female guinea pigs than availability. There may be up to a two month waiting period after submitting an application. We are limited by which guinea pigs are available in the local shelters and availability of foster homes. We appreciate your patience when adopting.

Minx is an adorable girl. She has a coat that is very soft and silky and is so nice to hold. She has turned into a real cuddle bug in the last few weeks. Hay is her favorite source of food right now so you will have to keep plenty on hand. She will need to be adopted as a companion to your guinea pig or with one of ours. Mack is a special little snuggler that is great with being handled and lots of attention. He is, however, believed to be deaf by both his vet and his foster mommy. This does not cause any severe problems as he has a wonderful temperament and is very lively but does require a constant light on at night so that he can see what is around him. Mack must be adopted with his brother, Duff, who is very quick on his feet and loves to be held especially if you have a carrot for him to nibble on.

Erlina means little elf. This sweet girl with a wonky eyebrow was taken in as part of a large rescue. She and her two cage mates have been truly enjoying life under less crowded and dangerous circumstances. She is curious,lively and was first in line to start taking treats from her foster moms hand. She doesn't even get upset when her cage mates swipe the treats she has been brave enough to get. She just comes asking for more. Pixie called Pixie Doodle by her foster mom is a lively little girl that lets our the most charming little squeak every time you pick her up. She was part of a large rescue and is enjoying less crowded cage space with just two roomies instead of the 22 she was with when seized. Spike gets his name from his wonderful spiked plume. Sorry we didn't get a pigture of that but he is a very active boy and doesn't want to be still long enough to pose. He views the world from the top of his pigloo with his brother Bucky and is interested in everything that is going on around him.
